BEER, WHSIKEY AND THEIR STORY
ONCE UPON A TIME- ‘THE BROKEN HEART NEEDED A POISION’ and
there is where I Came in Avatar of ‘BEER’. And Yes I’m Alcoholic!
I’m the most Popular
Drink all around the world next to Water and Tea , in fact I was discovered not
invented. Let’s go to Flash Back in
ancient Times (1800BC).
It
was an accident by ‘Ninkasi’,
Sumerian Goddess of
Brewing and Beer, indeed a good mistake
made by women…
So
it was a woman who discovered the beer, the question must arise how can she make
a wonderful mistake or bliss…
In Sumerian, One of their first harvested products was grain. To
keep this grain, it was often baked and stored. Some 6,000 years ago, ancient
text reveals that eventually it was formulated that the sweetest grain, if
baked, left out, moistened, forgotten and then eaten, would produce an
uplifting, cheerful feeling, Intoxication at the primal level! The first beer!
Now she tried this new method… She was
smart after this blissful discovery, she baked grains again by same methodology,
baked grains then were broken into pieces and stuffed in a pot.
In addition to it with some water, fruits,
honey and wort herbs and left to ferment, then came Babylonians with evolution
and made Straw.
Then
Russian came with ‘Kvass’ which still in existence and yet available in some
Regions.
‘HYNM TO NINKASI’, it’s a poem, which
itself is a recipe of Beer and passed down from generations to generations…
Women, generally brewed beer in the
home until commercial production of the beverage began.
CHEERS!! TO LADY WHO FILLS THE MOUTH WITH BEER, I
wonder what if my mom makes me the one and say have it beta it’s Maa ke hath ki
Beer, Taste bhi, Health bhi, Nasha bhi …!!
Let’s escape history and come back to Present :P
A GLASS OF CRYSTAL, UNDER THE REFLECTION OF MIX SHADES IN AND
OUT: A RAINBOW OF MALTY BEER - YELLOW,
PALE, AMBER, STRAW, AND BROWN-BLACK.
DEEP COLOURS WITH A SMILING WHITE FOAM LAYER INVITING ME TO
DEVOUR.
DIFFERENT SHADES OF BEER |
Beer helped me when downer, so in my school times I learned -
‘A friend in a need is a friend Indeed’
Here friend was nonliving thing, but it filled in the new
hopes and life inside me…. I met with new me, who can guide and help me to
overcome the toughest times… ‘Never leave a Friend who stays with
you in your bad times’.
Beer changes my mood to verve, it comes along with me
anywhere in my bag, that’s called an Adjustments.
‘It has to be in Freezer so that it can chill, and give me chills‘
Beloved Beer, I’m with you, no matter how many people ignore
you, and say any scrap about you I will always love to have you by my side. I
know you got too many haters like me, I like your bitterness and the way you
make love with my senses, the pleasure being visualized from my eyes.
‘You bring happiness in me with your cold lips touching mine.
One night a mug of beer collided with
whiskey’s short tumbler glass, and the mug of happiness was broken into pieces.
Beer said it’s the right time to meet your new friend… I did it purposely so
that you can meet new friends also. Whiskey is the good company, have it!! ‘I will be there for
you, whenever the nature gifts you summer I will play a role of winter within
you’
It’s time to make you
feel warmth with whiskey, I know it’s too cold out there, said whiskey … I saw
a short tumbler Glass with the shade of bourbon and Brown which made me ‘Woo’!
I never tried anything except these 5- water, tea, coffee,
cold drinks. I thought maybe I should give a try to whiskey too. So far I heard
about whiskey isn’t good for Health but I’ve seen all big shots- Business man and
Rich persons, successful persons having whiskey.
Whiskey said in Holler Tone - Don’t think too much, you
tasted water it gave you pleasure, you tried tea & coffee; you thought it’s
amazing! I would never have anything else. Then Beer crammed happiness and joy
in your Life.
It’s time to climb Higher up the Mountain, so I took a glass;
30ml spirit was the layer in it. It shouted me, “Add water and ice in me You
fool, I’m hot like you. Bro, you can have me with cold drink too I adjust with
everyone it’s my nature , I’m Neutral I can go with water, ice , cold drink , soda,
juices, even with vodka, gin , Rum, tequila said whiskey”.
I surprisingly asked who are they, I’ve heard about them but
don’t know much to my Knowledge.
Do u know about Mohini, Matsya , Kurma ,Varaha, Narashima,
Parashurma ,Rama, Buddha, Krishna, Kalki… I interrupted and asked...
Who are they? Why are
you making Fuss?
Whiskey said they are 25 avatars of Lord Vishnu, and to your
knowledge even God can’t Reach everywhere in the approx. population of 7 billion,
so mister God made us.
The Creator of brahamand is Brahma...
Vishnu is protector of mankind and life,
While Shiva is
destroyer…..

Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha,
Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya
Tadatmanam Srijami Aham'.
Bhagavad Gita (Chapter IV-7) (FOR REFERENCE)
It’s a manifest
that God might have sent these Avatars for well-being of mankind
It’s initiated from a Beer, and beer got so many avatars in
form of whiskey, rum, vodka, Gin, wine, tequila, scotch ,single malt, double
malt so on.
So they can be termed
as a savior and a creator while many a times a destroyer too. Never see the negative
side, always feed the positive side.
I relinquished and gulp in ample sip of divine, I became wild and asked for another round. After 2nd Round I started to feel tipsy, the pleasure was tremendous, I felt beer was not as effective as whiskey is, I realized 1 full bottle of beer gives me this kind of tipsiness, and this 2x30ml is just beyond BEER.
I asked in tipsy tone, who has
incarnated you? Who is your creator or are you here to destroy me?? Brief me your tale…
‘LET’S TAKE A STEP BACK IN TIME’ (WHISKEY)
‘LET’S TAKE A STEP BACK IN TIME’ (WHISKEY)
My original name is Uisce beatha in the Irish
language and in Scottish Gaelic. The word "whiskey" itself is simply
an Anglicized version of this phrase…in Latin ‘aqua vitae’
Well I’m even confused said whiskey… Both the Irish and the Scots claim to have invented me? It’s
believed that Irish monks invented the technique of distillation and made water
of life (whiskey)….
To Brother John Cor, by order of the King Exchequer Rolls 1494–95, |
Officially JOHN COR is the Name of the Monk who made a first
batch of Scotch Whiskey on June 1, 1495, Eight bolls of
malt to Friar John Cor wherewith to make aqua vitae.”
Now before we go
on with the history of things, let me explain a bit about volume: a “boll” is
an archaic unit of measure equal to 64 pecks (the “peck” being almost defunct
itself, of course). A peck is equal to 2 dry gallons of material, usually a foodstuff.
Eight bolls of
malt can make around 1,500 bottles of whiskey or more.
Earlier monks
made spirits by Distillation methods and there spirits were prescribed by Monks
only for preservation of health, the prolongation of life, and for the relief of colic, palsy and even
smallpox and for many such purposes…
So it’s made by
distillation, fermentation, brewing, ageing, bottling, yeast, water, barely
etc. And even there are many types of whiskeys invented later on… from scotch to
bourbon to Irish to single malt to rye to blended to grain whiskey to corn
whiskey to Indian (OLD MONK) and so on…
‘Back to time’
I had few more rounds of whiskey, realized the value of each sip
and lowered the speed of drinking to have a long-lasting Enjoyment.
So I became a whiskey person, I shifted my interest from Beer
to whiskey.
Once or twice it was fixed a date with a new mate ‘Whiskey’
I’ve learned the art of Drinking Whiskey, it completely brings
changes in me and my Life, unfortunately Not Wife ( IN CASE IF MARRIED :D ) ,
when it comes to drinking or Eating let
your nose inform Your Mouth, bring your nose near the Glass and feel the hearty
whiff, take whiff after each round, you will enjoy the aroma and flavor of this
saintliness…
HALF empty OR HALF full; as long as there is whiskey in the glass
it doesn’t counts.
It can help you to deal in tough situations and gives you the
courage to tell the truth or the things whichever is haunting within you, it
helps you to reduce the stress and relief you from toxins thoughts and bring
you into jubilant mode… We celebrate to drink not Drink to celebrate.
Isn’t it amazing, it can lead us to commit crime? It can also
lead to an accident, it can even damage your liver and can even give courage
and reason to find happiness by losing the senses and bringing undiscovered
senses that helps you to strengthen yourself, and feelings arise when you drink
and emotions evoke.
So everything thing
made in nature have their pros and cons. Let it be God made things or Man made
things… It’s not only whiskey and beer or any other alcoholic stuff but also
natural things that can become disastrous….
I promise if you don’t have any friends near you, by any
chance,
Make a new round,
Refill the Beer
All you need some DRINKS to Lean on…
Alcohol is like love. The first kiss is magic, the
second is intimate, the third is routine.
Most people behave when they’re
drunk, i.e. they Do stuffs like Dancing, acting, poems, talking, singing and
sharing their problems and life structure, the things which hunts them deep
down and hurts deep down.
There is no such place to have a
drink, You can have it anywhere it’s portable, it can be on the Top of the Roof
where I started, it can be local Chinese
corners or dhabas who allows to bring
drinks along, in home, in your home too :p, in a hotel, in a room, even in
BATHROOM, in office , on Road, in Car , at beach, in the middle of sea and if
you are lucky you can even have it in Prison and Hospital too ;)
Have it alone, with friends or foe,
be younger or elder, with DAD or Uncle, with reason or without Reason, with wife
or without wife. Whether be morning or Night, be summer or winter, be Weekends
or Weekdays, be Exams or Vacation, be success or Failure.
See the Life through a glass, pour
water in Tumbler Glass, look to the Transparent water, open the Spirit add Few
Drops in a glass and see the Changes in the color of transparent water into it
and also see the transparency taking a new color of mesmerizing yellowish
brown, add more truly gorgeous spirit and see the color getting new shades
after each drop, it turns into caramel to bourbon to Brown to oak and many
shades depends upon the quality and type of whiskey it is.
It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I
can't remember if it's the thirteenth or the fourteenth. ~George Burns.
